Description

"Do or do not. There is no try." Yoda. The greatest teacher, failure is." Yoda. "Named must be your fear before banish it you can." Yoda.

In this episode Jeanine and Paul unpack a framework for getting back in the saddle - bouncing back - after a setback in the workplace. Here are the 6 steps:

1. Acknowledge how you feel.

2. Focus on finding a solution

3. Consciously be positive (thoughts and self talk).

4. Use your support network

5. Be open/flexible - i.e.wedded to one solution.

6. Write down what you have learnt from the experience.

The framework used is closely aligned to a mental habits framework for lifelong learning (Leading Change.John P Kotter, 1988).

Jeanine also mentions Sam Parkers' 'Crossing the Line' concept during the discussions when talking about how to best use your support networks (Step 4).
